The Saint George Charity was pleased to attend the new Estepona centre of the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer, in Calle Terraza, no 170.
Along with Estepona’s Mayor, José María García Urbano, the Delegate for Health and Commerce of the Junta de Andalucía in Malaga, Carlos Bautista, and Mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, along with representatives from numerous local charities and associations, we were given a brief introduction to the work of the charity and its services.
The Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC) in Estepona offers a wide range of services and support for individuals affected by cancer. Their work includes providing emotional support and counselling to patients and their families, offering information and education about cancer prevention and treatment, and organising awareness campaigns and events to promote public understanding of cancer.
Additionally, the AECC facilitates access to medical and social resources, conducts research to advance cancer treatment, and coordinates volunteer efforts to assist patients in need.
Their new headquarters on C/ Terraza in Estepona serves as a central hub for these activities, ensuring that all residents have access to their comprehensive support services.
The Saint George Charity has offered its collaboration and support going forward, and has arranged future meetings to that end
